About Us
The Civil Engineering Department of AITM Bhatkal was established in 1980 and has played a key role in transforming the vision of the institute into reality.
The department offers a four-year full-time Bachelor of Engineering course in Civil Engineering with an intake of 30, affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi.
The department has qualified faculty, well-equipped laboratories, and very good computational facilities with application software like STAAD-Pro, ETABS, REVIT, and AutoCAD to cater to academic and research activities.
The department undertakes consultancy works in the areas of structural, geotechnical, and environmental engineering.
The department is recognized as a research center by VTU.
Since its establishment, the department has produced 13 university rank holders and four gold medalists.
Graduates are employed across India and abroad as Chief Engineers, Executive Engineers, Project Managers, and Assistant Engineers.
